Sam Sneade

Sam has edited commercials and films for more than twenty years. Since 1988 Sam has received accolades for his commercial editing for the likes of Tony Kaye, Frank Budgen, Ringan Ledwidge and Glazer, among others.

For four years running, Sam was voted Best Editor in commercials by Televisual, a top UK advertising trade publication, while Campaign, another leading UK trade, voted him one of the top three editors worldwide. This year Sam was ranked at number three by Televisual top ten commercial editors list.

Sam has received numerous nominations for editing, and won Best Editor at Creative Circle and a Clio award for his work on Guinness Surfer as well as the British Television Awards' Best Editing prize for Stella Artois's Hero's Return.

Sam continues to produce a high level of work to this day, most recently working with Johnny Green, Adam Hashemi and Mario Testino.

During his time as a commercials editor he has worked on both Jonathan Glazer's features Sexy Beast (2000), his debut and Birth (2004). He has also worked with Stephen Woolley on Stoned (2005).

Sam’s most recent long-form venture is director Dominic Murphy’s first feature film White Lightnin’: The Jesco White Murders, which was chosen for Special Selection at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.
